Another Basketball Season Ending, a New Soccer Season Beginning

On Feb. 21st and 22nd, the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy (HBHA) had its last basketball games of the year. The end of basketball season means the beginning of soccer season for the Lady Rams. On March 23rd, the HBHA girls varsity soccer team opened the season with their first game. The HBHA girls and boys basketball teams ended the season on a strong note. HBHA Volunteers at Harvesters on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday

On Jan. 16th, MLK Day, Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy parents, students, and faculty visited Harvesters Community Food Network to give back to the community and honor Martin Luther King Jr.  HBHA has been volunteering at Harvesters on MLK Day for eight years. Tamara Lawson Schuster, Director of Admissions, organized the event. Faculty, students, and parents from HBHA were divided into two groups and each were given separate tasks. One group packed  BagSnacks, a program that provides a backpack filled with food for children, who do not have a steady access to a food supply, can eat over the weekend....

News Brief: Upper School Student Council Lunches

The Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy (HBHA) upper school student council (STUCO) has prepared a variety of excellent lunches for the students of HBHA this semester, including pizza, hot dog, and latkes. The delicious hot dog lunch was served during Sukkot, and the students ate their hot dogs in the sukkah with carrots, chips and lemonade on the side. News Brief: Another Year, Another Lower School Student Council

On Friday Sept. 14th Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy’s third through fifth graders elected a new president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer, all from the fifth grade, for lower school student council. Ellie Glickman was elected as president and will be running meetings for the student council where they decide the raffle for the school store and the lower school spirit days.
